Beautiful and fine beaches can be found along the vast coastline of Spain that spreads over 5,000 miles. Anyone who has visited Spain knows that the best beaches in Spain are just breathtaking. Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol are the most famous beaches in addition to which there are many more nice beaches in Spain. It is always a good time to enjoy Spain Mediterranean coastline in solitude or with company.
1. La Concha, San Sebastian
The Playa de la Concha in San Sebastian is the best city beach in Spain. The sand in this beach is fine and the sea is clean. This beautifull beach area is bounded by lush, rolling hills.
2. Beaches of Sitges, Catalonia, near Barcelona
Sitges is a small city along the Coast of Barcelona. Tourists come here because of it's lovely beaches, bars, restaurants, disco's. Sitges has more than 30 beaches and coves where you can rest and relax under the sun. Sitges is a well known gay resort, but the main beaches are mixed. There are also nudist beaches in Sitges making it one of the best beaches in Spain at least for some people. Since Sitges is such a popular beach resort, it can be expensive, crowded and touristy, especially during the high season and on weekends. If you don't mind braving the hordes, though, you're guaranteed a great time at night and wide, sandy beaches during the day.
3. Playa de Las Catedrales, Galicia
Playa de Las Catedrales is famous for its rock formations. The name of the Playa de Las Catedrales Beach in Galicia in Spain translates as “Beach of the Cathedrals”. Best season to visit this beach is uring the ebb phase of the tidal phenomenon, when the tide is low. They are in the shape of arches found within churches. Those shapes are sculpted by the wind, waves and the briny water.
4. Ses Illetes, Formentera, Balaeric Islands
Ses Illetes is the famous beach of Formentera Island. The beach can be reach by boat from Ibiza and San Antonio. There are number of water sports offered at the beach.
5. Gandia, Costa Brava
Gandia is one of the beaches that is more popular with the Spanish than foreign tourists. The beach itself is enormous, with fine white sands stretching off into the distance. The restaurants and cafes nearby make a delicious change of pace.

great hub, definetly the best beaches are in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and may be northern Spain but a bit cooler up there. And Formentera certainly looks like the Caribean, wonderfull place

Formentera is beautiful. I live in Ibiza and there are so many amazing little beaches and bays hidden all over the island, I think there are over 70 beaches here!! Great hub
Malaga has some great beaches too!, a visit to Nerja is recommended for those seeking beautiful beaches :)
Gandia is not on the Costa Brava. The picture you have is from Tossa de Mar, in Girona.
For such a small country, Spain has an amazing array of beautiful beaches. The trick is finding ones that aren't completely crowded!
