Directions from Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon

 There are couple ways to get driving directions from Red Rock Canyon from Las Vegas. After researching a bit when planning a trip to Red Rock Canyon, came up with this driving directions from Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon. It is a circle where you leave Las Vegas, visit Red Rock Canyon in the morning before it gets too hot and instead of returning in the same route, keep driving in the same direction and return to Las Vegas via Charleston Blvd that gives an option to Silverton Casino where they have a big wonderful aquarium.

 If you are staying in one of the hotels or casino resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard, take Flamingo Road and get onto I 15-S. Then get on to I-215W on which you have to drive for about 13 miles. Take exit 26 for Charleston Boulevard. Take a left turn on Charleston and continue on NV-159W for 5 miles. You will see Red Rock Canyon visitor center. There is a $5 entry fee per vehicle into the area. Drive through the 13 mile scenic drive. Use the map you got at the visitor center to stop at scenic overlooks and spots on the 13 mile drive. It is a one-way drive and cars usually go slow enjoying the awesome visuals. It gets really HOT over there with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees F, so make sure to take plenty of fluids with you while you go for the scenic drive. Do not forget to get exact directions from Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon from google maps or other online map service. After the 13 mile scenic drive, when you come out to 159, continue on I-159 W for 10 miles and then Left onto NV-160E for about another 10 miles and you will see Silveron Casino. Silverton Casino has a nice big aquarium you can visit and also a great place to have lunch. You can then continue on Blue Diamond Road and then on I-15 N to get to Las Vegas Boulevard.
